This page serves third-party code to your browser. Serving it is distribution under the GNU GPL, so what follows is an obligation rather than a courtesy.
GNU General Public License, version 2; DOSBox itself is GPL-2.0-or-later. © Alexander Guryanov (js-dos) and the DOSBox team.
Every file under /vendor/ was extracted
unmodified from the npm tarball for js-dos@8.4.1.
Nothing has been edited, reformatted or re-minified, and the copyright headers
are intact.
The vendored files are build output, not source. GPLv2 wants source that corresponds to this build, so each link below is pinned to the exact revision that was compiled, down to the DOSBox engine commit:
Ask and a tarball of the exact bytes served here will be provided at no charge, via djoubert.co.uk.
Lepton is a DOS program that DOSBox interprets. Running a program under an interpreter does not make that program a derivative work of the interpreter, per the FSF’s own GPL FAQ. Lepton remains entirely Dawid Joubert’s work, under its own terms.
The emulator statically links libzip (© 1999–2026
Dieter Baron and Thomas Klausner) and, through it, zlib. libzip is
BSD-3-Clause, whose second clause requires redistribution
in binary form to reproduce the copyright notice. Serving a
.wasm is binary redistribution, so it does:
LICENSE.libzip.
Silkscreen (© Jason Kottke) and VT323 (© Peter Hull), under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, self-hosted so that no third party is told you are here: Silkscreen, VT323.
The dosbox-x core (~7.5 MB) is not vendored; Lepton runs on the
plain dosbox backend, pinned in lepton.js. Checked and
recorded so nobody re-opens it: no sokol, gl4es, humblenet or sdl2net appears in
the WebAssembly served here, and no BIOS or ROM image is bundled. DOSBox
implements its own BIOS in C++.
